Arts and Culture at the Water Street District

The Water Street District’s performing arts, diverse gallery exhibitions and the popular Third Thursday will fill up your social calendar. The centerpiece of the Water Street District, the Henderson Events Plaza, is home to exciting events of all types and sizes throughout the year including spectacular festivals ranging from the four-day Super Run Car Show, attracting more than 100,000 attendees to the one-day Henderson Live! music festival attracting more than 7,000 visitors. The welcoming family-oriented informality of Third Thursday attracts crowds of casual browsers as well as buyers to each festive event, with art galleries, businesses and dining establishment hosting receptions and exhibition openings. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere brings the community together in greater appreciation of the arts. Visitors participate in the popular Art Walk; enjoy popular local bands; drink, eat, and shop. Kicking off the Water Street District’s commitment to public art is a series of murals depicting Henderson’s history.
