Mini Façade Improvement Program

The City of Henderson has launched a new program designed to assist business owners make physical improvements to their properties. The Mini Façade Improvement Grant Program is available to building and business owners to enhance the façade of their place of business and is part of the City’s overall strategy to improve the appearance of streetscapes and revive business activity in the Water Street District.

The Mini Façade Improvement Grant Program will provide grants to eligible property owners and business owners to enhance their commercial building and/or storefront within the designated redevelopment area of the Water Street District. The grant will cover up to 50 percent of the total cost of the improvement up to $3,000 and businesses will not be required to pay back the grant if the owner maintains the improvements.

This program is intended for buildings that are at least three years old and in need of a facelift, perhaps a new paint job or a decorative architectural feature, or construction, installation and/or renovation of awnings, marquees, doors, windows, display window lighting, tiles, or pavement. Maintenance improvements and structural upgrade work are not eligible.
